The SJMEC House League is a year-long competition for all K4-Grade 8 students.
Students have been divided into four teams: Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. The students on these teams will be House League teammates for the rest of the year.
Throughout this school year, students will get to compete against each other in friendly competitions to earn points for their team and attempt to win the 2019/2020 House League Trophy!
Earning Points
There are many ways students can earn points for their team:
- Participating in school spirit days: Once a month SJMEC will have a Spirt Day where students dress up to the chosen theme. Every student who participates will earn a point for their team.
- Participating in athletic, academic, and artistic competitions: Students will earn points for participating in these events and will earn extra points for winning the competitions.
- Earning Grandfather Teaching Tokens: Each month, SJMEC has a Grandfather Teaching theme. Students who demonstrate the Grandfather Teaching of the month will earn tokens from SJMEC staff. Every token will earn that student a point for their House League team.
Prizes
The House League team with the most points at the end of Term 1 (the end of February) will win a KFC Party for their team!
The team that has the most points at the end of the school year will be the House League champions and will win the House League Trophy as well as a KFC party!
